Leaving Sam in the NICU was one of the worst things Dan + I have been through. I wonder if I'll ever stop second-guessing every decision we made and wondering if it was somehow my fault - we'll never know. While I was in the hospital ew visited every 3 hours for me to nurse her. When I went home I pumped but we still visited frequently. I went home Sunday and she didn't come home until Tuesday - it felt like forever. It was a nightmare of bloodwork, IVs, and even a spinal tap.
Dan was a wonderful source of strength for me. Having my parents + sister in town really helped too!
