The World According To Katja

Supplies Patterned Paper (Fiskars) Black CS (Fiskars) Border Sticker (MAMBI) Flower Appliqué (Westrim) Letter Stickers (MAMBI)(Alphabitties) This day, Katja was feeling particularly chatty & was telling me a tale about something that happened at Grandma s house a day or two before. As I watched her, I noticed little things that I had not truly noted before; the way she uses her hands to explain, her facial expressions. As I watched, I remembered that she used to have all sorts of other cute expressions and behaviours that she since has long outgrown. While I marvel at all her milestones, I miss the little things that she left behind as she advanced to another stage. I miss my four month old, ‘my Pterodactyl Baby’, just learning to make sounds. I miss my hungry toddler and the way she said the words; Milk, Cookies and Bread and outstretched and twirled her hands to ask for food. I miss my three year old nature child eagerly bringing me her newest find; a snail, a beetle, a leaf or a flower. I know she will outgrow many more things as time goes on so I am happy to just have today, to experience, the world according to Katja.
