When I made cards for the Clean & Simple Challenge, I wasn't happy with the feel of my one-layer cards. They felt flimsy to me. If I make one-layer cards again, I'll do what Anne did and use nice heavy watercolor paper. I used the card fronts of the original cards and mounted them onto a card; some now have matting. Here's the original gallery post with details: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/108705-djc/1670342-sof10-clean-simple/?c=t. [twopeasinabucket.com]

Most cards are still 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2”. The green Happy Holidays card is about 4 6/8“ x 5 1/8”, and the Santa card is 4 7/8“ x 5 3/8”.

I also made some changes that I think made the cards look better:

I added Scattered Straw Distress Stickles to the poinsettias.

I used deckle-edged scissors on the blue poinsettia card.

I used Sakura's Souffle Pen and the black Spica glitter pen on the stockings.

I put Rock Candy Crackle Paint on the Santa square. Unfortunately, the cardstock buckled and no amount of weighing it down straightened it out. I cut the square out and mounted it on a new piece of cardstock repeating the original inking with the Dreamweaver Deckle Edged “stencil.” I must have rocked the sentiment because it doesn't look the way it is suppose to look, but I like it anyway. What looks almost black here is actually a dark green.
