Pillow-Top Technique Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80-lb. Cardstock Distress Inks Memories Ink (For Hero Arts Shadow Stamps)
I made these backgrounds for my AIR16 Nighty-Night Challenge (Pillow-Top Background Technique) on Artsy Inkers. I learned this technique from Gina K.'s video tutorial on Stamp TV.
The first five of these were done with a piece of plastic marked at 5/8" to guide me while making the stripes. I found that it was best to tap the inked ink applicator along the edge of the plastic and then move it onto the cardstock. For the last two cards, I used a glass grid to help me keep track of the lines, and I made them ½" apart. I also used soft colors and used a lighter touch. I like the way they turned out best.
In order: Distress Inks: Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Barn Red, Mustard Seed, Shaded Lilac Memories Inks: Soft Sage, Soft Rose
