Amen I believe

…. in God and his personal touch in my life. I’m often in awe as I look around and see how big & amazing this world is and how small I am in comparison. God has made such a big difference in my life. When I totally commit to him in my own “Amen” (saying I believe) and give everything over to him – then I see him most. When I say yes I want him to participate in my life. I’m so thankful for the gift of my life that he has given me. He’s made the biggest difference when I’ve accepted that it’s his hand that is guiding me and is in charge of my life and not my own. Many times I find myself reaching up to him in prayer palms facing up thinking about the heavy or even light burdens I’m trying to carry on my own, placing them in the palms of my hands and raising them up asking him to take it and do with as he would will it to be done.

Many times too I raise my hands up palms facing down reaching up, as if I want to take things back because I think I can handle it or I think I know the right answers, then I have to be reminded and realize the fact that I can’t do it alone nor can he do it alone. I must be willing to accept his part in my life and I can’t protest his desires. In these times both giving over to God and accepting his will & the times I think I can do it on my own; I have to remember – I believe in God and his power, I believe in God and his love, and I believe in God and what he wants to do with my life. It is then that I accept that God is someone worth believing in – he makes all things new, he makes all things right, he makes me who I am and he gave me my life. All he asks in return of me at this moment is to say Amen, God I do believe – do your will in me and through me.
