Journaling reads,"Kona loves to play fetch in the snow.
First, he goes to approximately where he thinks the stick is buried and points.
Then he shoves his face in the snow and sniffs.
Satisfied that it’s there, he digs furiously to uncover it.
Victoriously he runs to greet us carrying his treasure.
After a brief tug of war he hands the stick over and waits quivering, ready for the next hunt.
It’s really fun to watch him when he doesn’t know where the stick is. He moves from spot to spot sniffing, pawing, sniffing, pawing, digging until he finds it. By then he’s like a snow dog, covered in icicles."
