Just stopped by to take another stole through your fairyland! There's so much detail to take in, it was worth another trip, just to see those darling fireplace rocks you created! And OMG how could I have left out that GORGEOUS Bow!!!
Thanks again for sharing!
Oh Lord, I am drooling all over your gallery. Pure magic. Love the snow look on your roof and love the home. It's like a magical cottage. You have outdone yourself. Pam must be beside herself with this fabulous creation. Oh, almost forgot...love the drawer. Perfect
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! This is a true MASTEPIECE Rob!!! Your creativity and attention to the smallest detail is just beyond my imagination. I have to say, I'm really curious about your "zenithal technique" and would love to know more about it, Is it possible for you to share this on the Mixed Media Challenge thread and tell us all about it? Again, your creativity really shines in this project, just love everything about it!
Wowzers! An explosion of your creative abilities for sure! I have never seen anything like this. I am sure your partner was in awe! Gorgeous! Every detail is amazing! You always go that extra mile in your art! Love it! Ty for joining the RB swap this month! So great to have you back with us!
Although the pictures are beautiful, they do not do it justice. The little fairytale cottage is totally enchanting. Beautiful in every detail. It was lit up when I opened the box and looked just gorgeous. Love the shaker top. Love the window layer that allows you to peak inside. Beautiful and enchanting.
So this is Pam's Explosion box that I did for the most recent Renea Bouquet's swap. In the end I only used her gorgeous German glass glitter (crystal and Pearl for the snow, and Ocean and Mermaid for the shaker) and some of her micro beads (teal I think) also for the shaker.
I'd been wanting to use this gorgeous ribbon for something wonderful and I'm glad I finally was able to use it on this box. The dimensions in the end are 4.5 x 6.5 inches. A little bigger than I had hoped for, but it really was a nice size in the end.
The rhinestones are some I got on Amazon and are not my typical Swarovski. However they are glass and have a lovely twinkle!
The shadow box part is all patterns from Cricut's own site. The glitter paper that I used for that was all bought at HB. It was taken from their individual sheet isle, rather than from one of their pads. The white paper is from a collection of their's that is White on White. I need to get more if they still make it... I love that paper.
The house is a pattern I got through SVGCuts.com and cut on my Cricut. I used American Crafts cardstock for the majority of it. The roof is covered in hundreds of small dots, hand placed. The stones on the chimney and on the walkway or all hand made using airdry clay. Then colored with markers, then dusted with White ink.
Some tufts of Army Painter grass was added hither and thither. I did I zenithal technique using some white spray paint, then some spray glue and applied the glass glitter in layers to achieve the snow. There are lights in the house which the control is in a drawer at the base.
I think that highlights the majority of it. Let me know if you have any questions about a specific technique or item and I'll be happy to answer.
