Oh my honey! I had to read your description twice & really look at each item you so purposefully set! Let me say this, it did take me a minute to really see the little ladies. How clever the way you reduced the size & change the colors. I love the black netting across the top & your stitching! Nicely done my darling! After seeing this piece makes me want to check out more of your work! I'm gonna say a few prayers for you.
So sorry that you had to be in the hospital - things will be looking up soon! Love that you documented this. Love your stamping and stenciling! Love the medium you used for the pink heart - cool how it puffs up.
Your creativity is off the charts! I love all of the texture and interesting elements you have used. Your portrait is beautiful and captures your strength, vulnerability, and bravery.
Very creative, heartfelt layout! Love the paint brushes and design! I hope that you are feeling better soon and, like your title says, better days are ahead.
Another stay in hospital. Exhaustion and another high temperature prompted the precautionary 48-hour stay. After doses of fluids, antibiotics and neutrophils I feel (almost) back to my old self again and happy to be back home. Next week I am discussing a change of chemo doses to prevent more hospitalisations. I feel frustrated, disappointed and annoyed and wanted to document this. There is hidden journaling under the photo.
I tried Pink Ink Designs' fluff it paste for the first time and love the result. I stencilled a few hearts onto the LO and used my heat gun to dry the paste. I love how it puffed and bubbled up! I decided to add a little colour (watery Do ink) and really like the effect. I can see me using this paste on Christmas designs.
I put Sizzix Lustre Wax on the rays in the circle, used bits of washi tape (stitching), trim and scraps/bits from my stash (die cut circles, embossed knitted pp) that were left over from other projects. The ladies are from a Jane Davenport collage sheet. I reduced the sizes of 3 of them, the lady in red is actual size.
