Journaling: This morning, as we were getting ready to leave for a play date with your cousins, you said a weird but very profound statement. Out of the blue you told me “Jesus helps us Mama!” I was taken aback by what you said and before I can respond, you continued on saying “when you were sick, He helped you get better and when I would throw up, He helps me too!” With grateful acknowledgement I said “Yes son you are right”.
As I sit there in our car dumbfounded by the amount of maturity you just showed with your extraordinary observation, I smiled and yet wonder how you were able to make such a conclusion. You’re only three years old and yet in your innocent mind, the greatest of truths have been formed. That Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that through our faith in Him we will be delivered from our afflictions.
Simple yet mighty in effect, thank you Marcus for sharing such a powerful testimony with me, it has truly edified mine.

•In February, after a week of pain, I was finally diagnosed with having a ruptured appendix. According to the doctor that treated me, it had been sitting in my system for about 5-7 days before I had my surgery. I'm sure the days when I was in bed all day and then that week in the hospital left a distinct impression on my then 3 year old son. He truly amazes me.
