We went to the park on a beautiful day in January and I took this picture as they were playing follow the leader. They were at the end of their game when Micah grabbed Noah's hand and they walked hand in hand for a while. It was really sweet.
I found this poem in the resources part of the website a while back, and have been waiting to be able to use it! This one is Micah's, and I am going to make one for Noah as well. His little tag will of course say, "Little Brother"
The journaling is hidden underneath the picture. It reads:
Let me tell you a secret, Micah, moments like this is why we wanted to have two children. We wanted you to always have someone to play with, talk to, lean on and trust. I know that you will be the best big brother that Noah could have asked for, and watching you with him here today, makes me so proud of you. We were at North Shore Park on a beautiful January day and you two had played for a while on the playground then fed the ducks. Before we went home, you wanted to play “Follow the Leader” on the little wall that defines the boundary of the playground. When you neared the end of the wall, you grabbed Noah’s hand. You walked the rest of way holding each others hand. I watched the two of you and I was so proud. My dream was that our two children not just be brothers, but be friends, and watching the two of you holding hands confirmed to me that it was already true.
