I've often overheard people say how it would be nice to have the life of a baby. Well, all I can say is that at 8 months old, I am one busy boy.
I keep very busy during my day. Most days, I wake up around 7:30 a.m. Usually, this is because that is the time that my twin sister, Taylor, decides to wake up and she always wakes me up with her morning jabber. My mom gets us ready for breakfast.
I love eating breakfast. I really enjoy my oatmeal and just recently, I have started trying to learn to drink from a cup. I usually end up soaked in my water and apple juice combo. After we eat our oatmeal, we get to have one of my favorite things...a bottle. I go crazy when I see the bottle. I have even started saying it's name..."baybay". Along with saying "baybay", I have also learned how to say "babadada". My dad really loves hearing me say "dada".
After we eat, it is time for a bath. I always get a bath first. It always feels really nice to soak in the warm water and to have my hair washed with lavender shampoo. After I play and splash around in the big duck tub for a few minutes, it is time to get dressed. After Taylor has her bath and we are both dressed, we play on our bedroom floor with all of our toys.
It's not long that we are both tired. Mom takes us to the rocking chair and we watch "Elmo's World". When Elmo is over, it is time for a nap. I try to wake up between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Then, it is time for lunch. I am learning how to feed myself. I get to feed myself biter biscuits, fruit puffs or wagon wheels. We always eat a veggie and a little fruit. I really like green beans and sweet potatoes. I also like applesauce and bananas. After we eat, we get another "baybay". Then it is time to go to the basement to play.
One way that I like to play is getting on my belly and pushing myself up on my hands and knees and rocking back and forth. Sometimes, I even scoot just a little bit. If I really want to move across the floor, I will roll. I've become pretty good at it. After trying to crawl and rolling everywhere, I am ready for a nap again. Before I know it, naptime is over and it is time for an afternoon "baybay." In the afternoon, we will either go out somewhere or we will stay at home and play some more.
It isn't long before it is time for dinner...more veggies, fruit and another "baybay". By 7:30 p.m., it is time to get ready for bed. I am always really tired after my long day of playing and learning. I am dressed in a really comfy sleeper and I get my gums and new tooth brushed. Then, all four of us sit in the floor and dad will read us one of our many books. Our favorite part is when he sings to us from our Pooh Song Book...he sings songs like "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Pooh Went Over the Treetops". When he is done singing, it is time for bed. I often get very upset when I am put into my crib and will cry for just a few minutes and then I am asleep for the night.
