After reading Stephenie Meyer's Eclipse I found some T-shirts on the web that let you pick your man - you could be "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob". I was definitely feeling the Team Jacob vibe after finishing the book (Edward is just too moody for me). I made this booklet for a friend who is also a fan of the series.
There's a name for this type of book - I just don't remember it. The background pages for each side are glued to each other. I used fancy thread to bind the pages that contain writing about each character. I created a pro and con list for each character - that is the handwriting you see here. Edward's lists are done in nice, handwritten caligraphy while Jacob's list is in plain old ball point pen and has plenty of false starts crossed off. Jacob even argues a little with the author which makes more sense if you have already read Eclipse.
I outlined some of the branches on Edward's side with Icicle Stickles to get that diamondy glittery effect you would get by plunky Edward in the sun. Edward's papers are elegant and rose covered. I titled this side "Bite Me" - I didn't stick it in the title of the image because I didn't want to deal with someone who knew nothing about the book taking umbrage at the phrase.
To add to the fun, I only used items that I already had, with the intent of using up as much old stuff as I could. I'm pretty happy with how the whole booklet turned out.
