This photo was taken of Antietam Creek from Burnside Bridge. I've been working on this layout for a while, but couldn't find the right words to express the feeling behind the picture. When I found this quote I thought it was perfect in summing up how I felt. Many lives were lost trying to cross this small creek during the Civil War. There are some who claim it flowed red after the battle. To see it now is hard to imagine what it was like then. What you find now is peace, calm, and tranquility. If the creek could talk, imagine the stories it would tell of the brave men who fought so hard to cross it.
I created everything on this layout but the staples. Actions I used from Atomic Cupcake: Crumble, Burn Edges, Tear Edges, and Rub On. The staples came from Atomic Cupcake.
