I had to get this story down on paper, since it is so hilarious (at least hubby and I think so!). I made the arrows myself. I drew them with a sharpie marker and scanned them in and made brushes. Turned out exactly how I pictured, for once. Also my first attempt at making my own paper. Journaling reads: For some reason, which may always remain a mystery to us, you have decided to call your blanket “number four.” It started one evening as we were doing the bedtime routine and you suddenly started looking for “number four.” We had no idea what you were doing and at first we thought you were just trying to delay bedtime as you often do. You seemed pretty serious, so we tried to help, even though we did not know what you were looking for. It took us a couple of days to figure out that you were talking about your blanket! You have two blue blankets that are just alike, but you know the difference and the “good” one (most worn out and chewed on), is “number four.” The past couple of months you have taken to dragging this blanket all around the house with you. You chew on it and the most important feature is the tag, which you call “pag.” You hold the “pag” and chew on it and it seems to provide great comfort to you. You’ve always had a thing for “pags,” on washcloths, blankets, clothes, whatever “pags” you can get your hands on. Maybe someday we’ll crack the code on this “number four” mystery, but for now we’ll just smile and nod and hand you the blanket.
