This layout will be a gift for my brother, who was a groomsman in my wedding.

Journaling reads:

"I still remember the first time Mom ever let me hold you "all by myself". There was an opposum in our backyard and Mom wanted to take a picture of it, so I got to "watch the baby" I felt so important to be the big sister.

Soon I was teaching you everything I knew, from how to count to how to convince Mom and Dad to take us for ice cream..they were more likely to say yes to you. We even created our own dance in those days..the Big Sister Little Brother Dance.

Sometimes I hated you growing up. I wanted you to go away, to stop hogging Mom and Dad's attention, to stop being my shadow. I wished I was an only child, or had a sister, someone to do girly things with, someone who wasn't so smelly!

The Past year hasn't been easy for us. You going off to college, me leaving my career to pursue something more important. Both us us dealing with Mom's heart attack in our own way. But I think through it all, we've learned the importance of family, and that's why I'm glad you were there to share in my wedding day.

I love you little brother,
Steph"

I turned the picture into sepia, and then printed it on iron on transfer paper. I ironed the 5x7 picture onto a 6x8 piece of muslin. I machine stitched the muslin and then frayed the edges.
The background is strips of fabric. I painted the making memories eyelet words with brown paint to make them fit the layout
