You have the British version of my night stand! There is ALWAYS: a book to read, a scrapping magazine, a Sudoku book and pencil, alarm clock, bedside lamp, lotion (dry skin), pain meds for migraines, and bottled water! And I don't see any dust - just a neat, orderly night table.
Thanks for all the insights. Very much like me but I stay up later. I was in Devon in 1980 ( does that date me???) for about a month in a small villiage, Berrynarbor. The nightstand next to me had a automatic teapot that made tea and then woke you up. Do they still make these?
Love it. Love the Ipod color, like the fact your DH brings you tea in the morning like my DH brings me coffee in the morning. I do puzzles too at night and watch tv if I'm not on my laptop all night.
What, no Harry Potter books yet? Hmm, we really need to have a good talk you and I! Sudoku, yay! Love sudoku. I prefer to play online, though. So I don't play much since I discovered sb.com and the photo-a-day challenge (for lack of time)... :o)
cool. great way to learn about someone! Expect, my night stand is cleared off!!! My music box that my dad gave me, and the alarm clock. I'm not a morning person either. I can't read in bed, because I won't stop reading to go to sleep!
I too like the set in the wall nature of the table - and that wall color is WAY cool! I'm sorry about needing the TENS, but glad you have it if you need. What a great DH to bring you tea - and to be wise enough to know it's a necessity :) I do not read in bed b/c if I do I will dream of the book and then not be sure if what I dreamed actually happened in the book or if it was a dream - makes finishing the book awfully confusing :) Similarly I do not listen to Ipod in bed b/c I fall asleep listening and get all discombobulated as to where I was in the story. LOL - do listen to books on tape in the bus to/from work though. The TV remote and glasses as well as a bottle of spring water and my herbal night mask are my bedside companions. GREAT idea of what to share. LOVE IT
I Have never read any Stephen King (too chicken to try) but Grisham is and excellent choice. Have you read any Jodi Picolt books? MY SISTER'S KEEPER is my favorite of hers followed by VANASHING ACTS
this is my bedside cabinet and tells you lots about me. BOOKS: i love to read, Stephen King's 'the shining' is there because my DS thinks I should read it but as the film scared me........!! BEDSIDE LAMP, so I can sit up late and do some SUDOKU before I go to sleep. I heard if you exercise your brain everyday you are less likely to go senile... not sure if that is working for me!! my GLASSES, can't see much when i take my contacts out. TV REMOTE, I like to catch a bit of TV at bedtime when I am also doing Sudoku and the BBC Breakfast News, in the morning. this is usually the only TV I catch since i found sb.com! I suffer from a bit of insomnia, waking every 2 -3 hours so i listen in to talking books on the IPOD in the wee hours. I suffer from chronic pain as a result of years of nursing so I have the TENS close at hand to control them when they get too much trouble. The CUP OF TEA (hot) my DH brings me in the morning because he knows i am best kept out of the way until I am awake, I am a morning grouch!! there should be an alarm clock but i think I knocked that off this morning when it went off! And the phone holder... no phone , my DS usually has that in his room, so if it rings i had to wade through all sorts to find it!! Did you say you saw a little dust???? that's because I'm not a good housekeeper! Well welcome to my little world, hope you know a little more about me now.
