My daughter's pouty face -- I can't help but love it! IRL the background is pure white -- this digital pic isn't as clean as it could be. Journaling reads: "Before you were born, I would have thought the pout was something we learn, maybe in toddler years. Now I know that’s not true — it is definitely nature, not nurture. You have been capable of a perfectly formed pout since the very beginning. I have to laugh when I see your pouty face. I know this is not the response you’re trying to get, but that quivering lip is just so cute, I can’t help it. I’ve been trying to catch a picture of your pout for several months, but this is the first time I succeeded (probably because you were pouting for Daddy, not me, so I had time to pull out the camera and snap a few pics). To be honest, this picture doesn’t really show your best pout — you can do better. But this is all I have, so it will have to do. I love you, my girl — even when (especially when) you’re pouty."
