September 21st

Journaling Reads: September 21st dawned a clear, beautiful fall day, the kind that is referred to as "Indian Summer." That is the day that my world and everyone else who loves you was plunged into darkness. We received the devastating news that you had Acute Lymphblastic Leukemia. Our little Kylie had cancer! I cannot convey in words, the fear and sadness that, that diagnosis instilled in my heart. The anger that such an injustice could be placed upon one so sweet and small was overwhelming. We needed something we could hold on to, we needed desperately to... BELIEVE.
Nearly a year has gone by since Kylie's diagnosis, a year filled with many highs and many lows. Kylie's cancer is in remission and she seems to be doing well with her treatment. As for me, I continue to BELIEVE. I believe with my whole heart that she will beat this. Bless Kylie and bless all the little children of the world.
