This is a very powerful layout. While my daughter is not autistic, I can understand your rebellion -- my 5 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed as tenatively bi-polar. I guess they don't make it definite until around age 10. It's a struggle, and one I intend to continue fighting for the both of us. I don't intend to lose my little girl. Good luck and again, a powerful and beautiful layout.
This is fabulou!! The colors and the photo are perfect for each other and your journaling makes them even more compatible. I'll pray for you and that everything is great for the precious boy of yours!
WOW this page speaks volumes!! Sucha strong yet soft page for a STRONG message!! I truely hope that your swwet boy is OK, my DS has many delays and issues we are getting help with.

oh, wow. i don't even know what to say. the beauty and power in this layout is breathtaking. Unmatched, really. I love that photo with the message. You are strong and he is a darling. You are lucky to have each other.
Everything about this is POWERFUL, from the large NO to your defiant photo. Your colors & placement are spot on (as usual). {{HUGS}} to you & Mason... stay strong!
Hugs to you!! Pages like this make me say wow! This Lo brought tears to my eyes and you did a great job expressing your feelings!! Hugs and Prayers to you!
What an amazing lo. I appreciate your willingness to share your heart. So many children are facing this challenge of Autism today. My prayers are with you. Please keep us all posted on what you find out. Take care! Shari
***READ THIS PLEASE*** My best friend June is an autism play therapist---> and my friend Rhonna has been all over the world with her son Adam----------> and there is a specialist named Rick Solomon (google him) who I know... If it ends up being an issue... get a hold of me and I will hook you up. ((hugs)) either way. xox LL
that determined expression on your face has NOTHING to do with denial! cannot find words adequate to commend you on this!! each remarkable detail reflects love for your child and readiness to protect him!
Beautiful layout, and tells your story in just a few words. My thoughts are with you and Mason, and remember that whatever happens - nothing will "take" Mason from you...he will always be your baby! Hugs!
Fantastic lo! Love your symbolism. I know what you are going through. As you already know, I am truly blessed to have 2 children on the autism spectrum. My prayers for you, your son and your family.
Krissy, I have looked at this layout and read your description several times. I don't know if I have the right words to use, but it goes right to my heart. I was 20 when they told me my 2-year old had cystic fibrosis! I still feel the sting of those words. I read everything I could get my hands on. At that time, children rarely lived past 5. However, we were fortunate in that the disease was one that mimicked the symptoms and after several years of treatment and lots of prayers, he was fine!! I can almost feel your fierceness as you put the pieces on this layout! Hang in there and know we are fighting with you!
awww... big hugs, Krissy!! I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this. You are such a strong person, and no doubt an incredible, amazing mother. This layout is beautiful... I love what you've done with the colors!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW, Krissy, this is STRONG!!!!!!!!!! The picture is just perfect for your feelings and frustration, and the BG paper compliments this very, very well!!!! The design is gorgeous, and the journaling is so true and strong. And, don't worry- Mason is JUST FINE!!!!! You'll see. Great job on the challenge!!!!
Krissy, the lo is beautiful and I love the picture. He looks so cute snuggling up against you. I wish you the very best. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. But no matter what happens, you have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy who you love with all your heart and he loves you just as much. And that will never change. Please keep me posted when you do get the results. BTW, our family is participating in an autism walk again this year in downtown Louisville. It will be the last Saturday in September. It helped to raise quite a bit of money last year and this year is supposed to be an even bigger turnout. Please let me know if you need anything! It will be ok!! :-)
Krissy - I saw this yesterday & was speechless! Now I think I can comment! The entire lo is just beautiful and the emotion behind this is literally jumping out of the screen at me. I love all the stamping & rubons, the ink blots are perfect! Love all the symbols of rebellion too! You're such a strong woman! {{HUGS}}
Hi: This is an amazing layout. I noticed instantly the look of defiance/fight on your face in the picture. Wonderful!! I wish you all well. I'm glad Mason is snuggly - that's a good thing. TFS.
OMG! I love everything about this lo. The photo is so moving alone. You did an amazing job! I was almost in tears as I read the journaling. Great job. I love the defiance clearly shown on your face.
Wow Krissy. This layout is so powerful. Thank you so very much for sharing it. You know I am here if you need to talk. Oh, and of course, your layout is just beautiful as usual! I love the colors and why you chose them. Remember, I'm here.
This is a layout I did for a color theory challenge. I chose the red because red signifies - urgency, heat, love, blood, strength, and passion.
Black signifies: rebellion and strength.
White signifies purity and youth.
The journaling here reads: Dear Autism... NO! this boy is mine!! You will NOT take him from me!!
I also chose this photo over others as a symbol of rebellion toward autism, as most autistic children are not 'snugglers'. Mason is VERY snuggly. So, the photo is another little bit of rebellion on this layout.
No, Mason has not been diagnosed with Autism. Rather, therapists that evaluated him are "very concerned that he has multiple red flags for early autism". We are currently undergoing intense therapy, while awaiting the official testing which we should get in 6-8 weeks. I guess, this is me going through "Denial". I'm not going to let autism take my baby away from me.
