This touched my heart. I am so sorry you had to go through the pain of losing a grandchild and the pain of watching one of your children suffer so greatly. It is a wonderful LO from the design concept right down to the to the journaling. I'm putting this in my favs. Thanks for sharing
OMGosh! Karen this is beautiful!!! I love the pp and the stars. The weaving is super....but the journaling....WOW! you really touched my heart! I too know that feeling...we lost a grandson in 2001....I'm not sure you ever get over it! I am SOOO happy for your daughter that she has two precious boys to love now!!! Well done!
Your technique challenge this week is to WEAVE something on your LO. Ribbon, paper, fibers, you name it. No digis allowed this week. And, the weave can't be in a photo or an already woven embellishment.
Your theme this week... umm... Dreams. See I already had the song title and I can't combine the song titles, so, we'll go with Dreams as your theme this week.
Journaling:
On the photo it says:
Like a bolt out of the blue Fate steps in and pulls you through When you wish upon a star Your dreams come true
When I look at this picture I can't but help think of all that the last 5 years have brought you my dear daughter. Never in all my dreams did I ever once think that I would a have a child that would have to bury a child. Losing a grandchild was one of the most difficult things to date that I have had to ever face. To see how much pain my daughter would go through as she tried to cope with what life had dealt her. When we heard the news that once again you were expecting there was joy along with apprehension. It had only been less then a year since we said goodbye to Faith and as a mother I thought it was too soon. But Fate and Faith stepped in and you delivered two twin boys into this world. Gavin had quite a few obstacles to overcome both in the womb and out of the womb. He was not suppose to be born first, Caleb was but Gavin needed more attention and therefore he was taken first by cesarian section. Once again fate stepped in and Gavin pulled though and on this day as you tucked him into bed I can see in your eyes that you realize dreams really do come true. ~ Momma and Gavin 2007
