My husband took a day off work during my spring break so we could play. We went on a rockhunt in the west desert.
I did something I hadn't done in a while-- no inking! When I got everything put together I decided it needed more personlaity, so I took the Exacto to the edges of the paper to rough them up a little.
The journaling says: You know, they call it a desert for a reason. There is NOTHING out there! Only miles of DIRT ROADS and more TUMBLE WEEDS than stars in the sky. Rumor has it there are some pretty cool ROCKS in the West Desert, but we didn't find any. We ambushed TOPAZ MOUNTAIN and dug into the swiss cheese-like GEODE MOUNDS, finding nothing. By far, the best part of the day was returning to paved road and seeing the GLOW of the Salt Lake Valley over the mountains. Home sweet home. Light pollution sweet light pollution!
