When we received this photo of my niece Katie in the mail, I was excited and had to frame it right away. We don’t get to see her much as we’d like because she and her family live in San Antonio, Texas. We miss them so much! She was 10 when she was introduced to the strings in an after school program at her elementary school. She now plays the violin in the orchestra at Wood Middle School. She enjoys playing Christmas music because she says it puts her in a good mood and Christmas is her favorite holiday. I’m not surprised by her musical talent, she’s a pretty amazing young girl.
