I’ve been cutting your hair for years and paying you $4 a haircut. That way you sit still all the way until the trim is done. You’ve come to see this as a good source of revenue and recently suggested that maybe I should keep your hair short with more frequent haircuts.


To help you choose to let go of toys, we now have a deal that I’ll pay you 75 cents a pound for your toys. So far you’ve sold over 35 pounds of your toys to me! Jeremy thinks you should sell enough toys to make the shallow end of the pool even shallower, so you explained how if you got rid of 100 pounds of toys, it would still only be $75, a long way from what we’d need to change the pool.


You had grand dreams of making your fortune by selling lemonade. We bought lemons at the market, and you did pretty much all the work for making the pitcher of lemonade. You even calculated your


expected profits from that single pitcher of lemonade. Since it wasn’t a hot day, I suggested you have a portable lemonade stand over at Cooper Park, but sadly it was too late in the day in mid-September to find any buyers.
