It's Heritage Day in South Africa on the 24th of September, but my son's school is celebrating it today as the 24th falls in the school holidays. The journaling on the left tag reads: "Your teacher asked you and your classmates to dress up in "Traditional clothing" for Heritage Day, so she asked all the boys to just dress up neatly, i.e. collar & tie. It beats dressing up like a typical South African Boer, as I'm not sure if "Safari Suits" are still available?! Besides that, you're English, not Afrikaans, and you look sooooooo Handsome in this photo!" The journaling at the bottom of the page reads: "24 September: Heritage Day - Nelson Mandela coined the phrase "rainbow nation" to describe South Africa's diverse cultures, customs, traditions, histories, and languages. This day is a celebration of that diversity" The words "Proudly South African" are written in the photo tab to the right. To me, my little boy is turning into a real young man, very handsome indeed! Thanx for looking!
