YEAH!!! I love the tops of the mountains, it's a bit cold, but worth it!!! I LOVE this hike we took! umm, can I just pick the m&m's out of the trail mix??
Lovely picture... but where's the silly balloon hat? I see it on your head every single day, feel a bit strange to see you without it all of a sudden...
Well done fearless leaders...you made it in spite of us..This was quite a journey and thanks so much for sharing it with us! lets stop at Dunkin Donuts on the way down.....
Not we don't have cairns and I always wanted to ask but just HATED to bother you with questions. I have to say that is the greatest photo of you two!! Wish I had really been there.
The Native Americans used to leave piles of stone to mark their trails also. I have seen some of them out west. Thank goodness it's the top, but its worse going down! I'll have to stop and rest my poor hip. It's really poping now. Lunch sounds like a good idea. Nice picture of you and hubby.
Well done ladies you made it to the top 2,920 feet up!! Behind us you can see a cairn, do you have those in your country?? Stacks of stones and their original purpose was to help you find your way across the moors and mountains in this weather so you don't lost. Now everyone who reaches the top of the mountain puts a stone on the pile, sometimes these cairns can raise the mountain top up by a number of feet!! Too cold and windy for a picnic, share Suzi's power bars and Okispice's trail mix and we will find somewhere nice to eat on the way down.
