This was for a texture and dimension challenge. It's hard to tell from this picture but there actually is a good bit of texture & dimension happening. :-)
I crinkled some foil, painted it, then sanded it and covered that chipboard stars with it. And I used it for under the flames for another little layer. The page is acutally mounted on a 12x12 piece of cardboard so I tore the paper to expose the cardboard & roughed it up a bit. I also used some black screen that was left over from my porch window as a little mat under the photo...used some glittery chipboard...did a little handstitching with orange embroidery thread...and to top it all off...I made a little "barbed wire" accent to run along the bottom of the page. :-)
