great job with that experiment! did you use a tripod? My experiences with slowing the shutter speed have resulted with the lights moving around the picture!

Sept 22 - Universal City Walk

I'm trying something new here! I'm standing on an overpass at the entrance to Universal City Walk just after dark. I used my Cannon SLR on a tripod with a 2 minute exposure. The blurs are people moving. The people you see more clearly stood still while my shutter was open.
