Awesome layout! Got to get my hands on some of that paper! Great use of the paper by cutting out the emblems. You really think "out of the box"! And as usual, great journaling!
What a great page. Daisy D's is coming out with some really neat papers. Love the little notes you have alongside your journaling and love the reference to the"Blue Bomb". Too funny. I like your new avatar too. Linda.
Isn't this the truth! I have a 24 year old son... a 9 year old and 5 year old...all boys...all growing up and needing me less and less....so hard to let them go. What a beautiful page...so poignant...so right.
Love the cutouts! Really cute layout! The colors are great with these pics - not too girly. They look soooooo young! Seems like a long time ago!!!! Love the journaling!
I love the journaling on this. I think every family has had a "blue bomb", we had the "green hoop-ty"! Great memories to scrap! I loved your journaling so much because as I was reading it, it could have me writing it! My children grew up to be independent adults also. Now we are all best friends! It was so nice to finally not be "mommy" if you know what I mean by that?
wow i love the colors of paper but i have to ask Do ur kids love blue or is it like school spirit day or a dress code. they even have blue back packs lol TFS
My DS and DD, Matthew and Kimberly. I remember this day so well...it was a tough one for me...they grow up way to fast! The pp I used is all DaisyD's. I used brown Bazzill for accent pieces. I cut one piece of pp to use as the border on the left side of the layout. Journaling reads:
The year is 1993...…It’s the first day of school. My baby boy was entering the 9th grade and my baby girl was going to be a Senior! Wow! Where did the years go! Kimmer, you were so excited to be driving to school…even if you had to drive the “blue bomb”! Both of you were acting so “grown up” that morning. As your mama, it was so hard to let you go…to watch you as you begin to be more and more independent. . ..as you begin to need me less and less. Sometimes, I think that the start of school each year was harder on me than it was on you. I’m glad now that you learned to need me less and less. .….it has made each of you into loving, caring, strong, and independent adults. Journaling September 2007
