kiss the bride page

this is the "you may now kiss the bride" page. Journaling tells a funny lil story about our wedding ceremony!

We wanted a special officiate for our wedding, so we asked our Uncle Herman, a pastor from North Carolina, to marry us. Even though he had only officiated a few weddings before ours, we knew he would be great. Throughout the ceremony, he did a wonderful job, even speaking over the geese honking in the background! Finally, at the end of the ceremony, with the vows recited, the rings on our fingers, and the unity candles lit, Uncle Herman had us turn to the audience and announced us as man and wife. There was an expectant pause as we waited for him to say those final words… “You may now kiss the bride”…. which had temporarily slipped his mind! After a few awkward moments, Uncle Herman realized what was missing and among chuckles and cheers, Patrick and I kissed twice for good measure!
Thanks Uncle Herman, you were great!
