my dh with out dd/ds at the beach this year; when i was looking thru my pics and saw this one of him showing them something in the sand, the symbolism just screamed out at me : )
journaling reads: What an awesome responsibility a father has to his children. And, you both have been blessed with an exceptional one. While right now you mainly see that he’s just a big kid himself who likes to rough-house, act silly, and play, as you grow, you will begin to realize that he is so much more. He is truly a great man and father. He is smart, funny, hard-working, and most importantly, has a great faith in the Lord. And while, on this day, he was only showing you something in the sand, in the future, he will be showing you much more...how to do your homework; how to play softball, baseball, basketball, football or whatever sport you wish; how to treat others; how to handle difficult situations that life will unevitably bring; how to work hard and do your best; how a man should treat his wife and children; how to become a child of God; how to love. Because you learn how to love by being loved. And, my sweet babies, your father loves you both more than anything in this world.
