They’re 12 years apart. You’d think they’d have nothing to fight about, but they seem to do quite a bit of it. Erin’s whining and crying (she is the baby of the family, afterall) and Tony’s impatience and picking often result in some real doozies. But it’s moments like this that make life with my kids a beautiful gift. The cuddles, hugs and kisses are so lovingly given and received. And here, captured on film, the big brother reading to his little sister. Tony’s patience, gentleness and unconditional love is so obvious here. I love seeing his big strong hands next to her tiny, delicate ones. He’s an awesome big brother and with all of this practice, will obviously make a fabulous dad, too.
