I Am Beautiful. It should not matter what you or anyone else might think! Society has made beauty grotesque. It made us all blind and insensitive. We constantly judge others, inconsiderate of their insecurities. We must look deep within ourselves to find our own beauty before we see the beauty in others. Moreover, this is what I have found:
My Physical Features: 1. My Eyes: They are dark and have a unique shape. I never knew how different they were until I looked into the eyes of my son. 2. My Skin: I am very fair almost making my skin look like porcelain. 3. My Hair: It is long dark and sleek…only adding more to my eyes and skin. 4. My Cheekbones: They are high and give definition to my features. 5. My Dimple: I only have one and it is on my upper left cheek only visible when I smile. I use to dislike it until my girls inherited it.
My Personality Traits: 1. God had given me the gift of discernment. I have the ability to see people for who they really are. Sometimes good….sometimes not. 2. I am an incredible listener. I feel that it is important to listen and not talk. 3. I am trustworthy. I would never do anything unworthy of some ones trust. 4. I am honest. I despise liars and I feel that it is important for people to know truth. 5. I am the come to person for advice…because I am a great listener, trustworthy and honest.
I Am Grateful For: 1. My three children: They are my life and all that I do is for them. 2. My Husband: It takes quite a man to put up with all my insecurities. He completes me, he makes me a better person, and he loves me unconditionally. 3. My Family: Regardless what is going on in life, my family is always there for me. 4. Scrapbooking: For years, I felt that I had no talent, no creative outlet. Until I found this wonderful way of expressing myself. 5. My Intelligence: I may not have a degree but I have the wits and smarts to get me by.
My Achievements: 1. Becoming a mother. I never wanted children…I actually had a dislike for kids. 2. Becoming a wife. I never wanted to get married…especially to my high school sweetheart. Love the way that turned out! 3. Quitting college twice. I tried to better myself. However, school was not for me. I am superior as a devoted wife and mother. 4. Having a son. I was always partial to girls. When I found out my third child was a boy and not another girl I was disappointed. But, he has changed me…I could not imagine life with out him. 5. Expressing my feelings: I always held my feeling and thoughts back in fear of rejection. I have learned that others cannot feel what you are feeling…they need to be shown.
Do you know that you are beautiful??? Do you love yourself??? Can you see the beauty in others?? Open your heart and not your eyes!!!
