I had a lot of fun scrapping this layout. I initially thought I would be able to squeeze everything on one page, but it wasn't working for me, so I expanded it to a 2-pager. This lo describes how we spent that memorable day. I made a mini envie to hold our hotel room key. Thanks so much for looking! The journaling on this page reads:

It finally happened. We got engaged in San Francisco on February 12th, 2005, at approximately 9PM. Eric took me on a whirlwind tour of the city that day, looking for the “perfect” spot to propose, and finally settled on doing it in front of our hotel room door – Room #1808. This is how it all happened.
We spent the entire day walking all over the city doing “touristy” things – shopping at Union Square, visiting the Coit Tower and Lombard Street, and eating crab at Fisherman’s wharf. When we finally got back to the hotel at 9pm, we were both exhausted. I started to get a little impatient as I waited for Eric to open our hotel room door because all I wanted to do was get inside so I could take a hot bath and unwind. He finally reached into his pocket, but instead of pulling out our room key, he turned to me and said, “Liz, there’s a reason that I made you walk all over the city with me today. I was looking for the perfect spot to…”
I gasped when I saw the little blue box he pulled out. Then, everything became a big blur – I saw his mouth moving, but I didn’t hear what he is saying. I saw him getting down on one knee, looking up at me. A million different things zipped through my head: “Omigod!! Is this what I think it is?” Wait, wait!!– I want to take in every single detail and bask in this moment forever. Omigod...is this really happening?” I snapped back into reality just in time to hear him utter those four magical words… “Will you marry me?” I always thought I would scream and do cartwheels when this moment finally arrived. Instead, I crumbled – I hugged him and started bawling. After about 2 minutes of embracing, Eric asked, “So…is that a yes?” We both started laughing and I said, “Yes. Yes, Yes, Yes!!!”
As we walked into our room, Eric said, “One day we can bring our kids here, to Room #1808 and tell them this is where Mommy and Daddy got engaged.”
