This is the first page from the album I made for my dad's 60th b'day. I just wanted to showcase a photo of my dad as a bachelor & later when he was celebrating the 80th b'day of his dad which is done with a lot of rituals. I didn't want just a plain page so I stamped a leaf image. I journaled on vellum which was cut with deco-edge scissors. I attached it with silver brads. Just had a white ribbon scrap & threaded it thru a ribbon charm.
Part of the journaling is something I read in a newspaper.
The journaling reads: "Life is a journey & in this journey, we have to make different choices. Some of these choices will choose you. How you face these choices....more than the choices themselves is what will define the context of your life. Dear Appa, whatever choices you've made, you've faced them well & given us the best. So sit back & enjoy the snapshots of your journey & the choices or roles you have taken so far.
