When on my trip to New York, we went to ground zero. There was a lot of fuss at the time because families of thhe victims do not want to go off site to show t heir respect. Well you cant show your respect AT The site becuase it is a working construction site. So the photos I took are the best view we could get. It was odd and awkward showing your respect at the entrance of a tunnel and on the edge of a construction site, but we are glad we did so anyway. There was no place to lay flowers, so I did so here. This page has thick stripes, which is what the towers always reminded me off. The stripes were erupting from a patchwork (the plaid) of city blocks. I have wrapped a frame of flowers here, and put a representation of the worlds pierced heart in the top left corner. It is hard to see in the photo. I hope it does not come off as chintzy or cheesy. The products I had in my hand at the time just all made sense to how these photos made me feel.
