This is a very special layout which began as a much simpler school project. My son included this picture and wrote these words for a presentation for his second grade class. As soon as he brought it home, we created this layout to showcase such a special event which made such an impression on him. His Grosspapi is my dh's father. His journaling reads "Grosspapi became an American citizen on February 17th, 2005. He came from Switzerland. I am very proud of him." Andrew, Age 8.
To create this page, I stamped and embossed SU stars onto Bazzill cardstock. I stamped and embossed the title as well. The vellum words are hand written by me. I wove the fibers through the cardstock. The ribbon was ironed stiff and then attached with eyelets. Some of the photos on page 2 were also attached with eyelets. Everything was inked before it was attached -- cardstocks, ribbons, fibers, etc.
Products Used: Bazzill Basics cardstock, EK Success Fibers, Offray Ribbon, Making Memories Jersey Alphabet Stamps, Making Memories Vellum & Eyelets Stampin Up stamps, inks and embossing powder WORDZ celebrate sticker Swarovski Crystal Alphabet (Citizen)
