Journaling: april is child abuse prevention month and the exchange club of sugarland sponsored a healing field to promote awareness. my husband's motorcycle riding club was invited to present flags on the filed. about 31 riders, with their passengers, arrived at city hall to pick up their flags for a procession to the field. it was awesome to see this line of flags snapping in the wind behind me as we rode. i was thunderstruck when i saw the field of flags. there were so many. it moved me deeply to think that each flag represented a report of child abuse in our county. we presented the flags in the evening, but i returned the next day to take some more photos. i was just as moved in the daytime as i had been the night before. i was proud to have taken a small part in such a worthy event.
