My DH is a huge fan of Garrison Keillor and Lake Woebegone! Listens to it EVERY day at lunch on public radio.

I loved listening to Lake Wobegon when I was a kid. My Mom had a tape and a book that were well loved.

many think that Lake Wobegon Minnesota doesnt really exist. It doesn't. But they held a contest and Garrison Keillor votes on who had the town most like the one in his fiction stories and this little town of Freeport won. A huge photo of Garrison hangs in the Cafe with the words "to the REAL Lake Wobegon" and a copy of his article in the National Geographic about the place. Fun small town cafe, good food and a bit of the local legend.
