Very original! I like how you described it. I got married on April 20th, 2002 and it rained! But my wedding was indoors so it wasn't that bad...although I can relate on how you felt! I was so worried but at the end of the day it turned out to be a beautiful day :-)

My best man literally held up the decorations during the ceremony, it was pretty windy... I can definately sympathize. Great idea for a no pic page, one of the things all brides worry about, especially when we must control each detail (guilty!)

My Wedding Weather Story

Some brides-to-be have nightmares about someone tripping down the aisle, or the wedding cake collapsing. My nightmare for my wedding day was the weather! We had a fairy tail outdoor wedding ceremony planned; complete with horse and carriage, and rain would have been a disaster!
For the six months preceding my wedding, I stayed glued to The Weather Channel and weather.com looking up monthly averages and extended forecasts. Everyone told me to stay optimistic and that the weather would turn out fine, but Mother Nature was doing her best to drive me crazy and to prove that “April showers” were the name of the game. The first half of the month was drizzly and cold, and then, exactly a week before my wedding, our area received so much rain, it went down in the record books!
By this point, I was ready to have a nervous breakdown. I had planned every detail of my wedding myself, and the weather was that one aspect I could not control. I prayed and prayed for good weather but all I could do was wait. The forecasts predicted that it would be chilly and windy for my wedding but then, the big day dawned…
BRIGHT and SUNNY and WARM!!!! My dream wedding went off without a hitch, and everyone talking about how lucky I was to have gotten the best weekend of the month. My prayers had been answered: April 21st, 2007, sunny, and 75 degrees!
