I can SO relate to this journaling. Time flys doesn't it. This is such a great layout. I just uploaded a Christmas Layout too!!! of my neice, how cool.
I SO love how you were able to put so many nice photos on this, and it is so neat and well formatted. I haven't seen any of your other work but, this style is awesome.
More Christmas lo's! I decided to take a different approach to the journaling of this every year event.
Journaling reads: “Not yet, Isaac. We don’t open presents until after supper and after the dishes are done.” Before the words have even fully left my mouth, I’m stunned. Did I just say those words? Somewhere along the line my position in the family shifted. Now, though the physical location has changed, the tradition stands. As I explain the rules to Isaac, I’m transported straight back to childhood when my cousins and I were the ones being told the order of events. I see my parents interacting with my children as Grandparents, in much the same way my Grandparents interacted with me as a child. The memories seem as fresh as yesterday, and I’ve come to understand this: time is fleeting. “So, not yet Isaac. Wait just a minute longer because before you know it you’ll be grown.” Gompert Family Christmas in Hastings, December 2004
