This page is really great. I love the envelope! I'd love to try one myself. Not quite sure how to do it. Your mom must be very proud. Now I need to go find the other side! lol
So, this page includes a bunch of pictures of my mom--and although I really wanted to use some of that pretty pp from the other side, it just looked better on the plain brown cs. The mica is on the top right--I put two layers covering pp, one of the silk flowers (which you can hardly see--it almost blended in TOO well), and the "my mother"--which was printed on one of the mailing tags, and then I heat embossed all around the edges, attaching to it the square clip (which I clipped off to make a bit smaller and embossed). Also, some of the white satin ribbon is attached. The photo turn is embossed, as well as the bottle cap which of course is holding a cute pic of my mom. The white ribbon and the three petals were dyed in tea. The envelope I covered mostly with pp, then inked. The rolodex card and cancelled stamps (both also tea-dyed) are inside. The rolodex card I will mail to my mom and have her journal some words of advice, or a letter to progeny, or her testimony on. The red satin ribbon is around the envelope, and there is a small peice of the white ribbon on the bottom left corner. --Oh yeah, and I didn't feel bad including some pics of my mom with my dad because really--she's been married to him since she was fifteen and he's an enormous part of who she is--plus, I kinda like the guy myself. :) Thanks so much for looking!!
