The fires chased us out more than once. These guys are the best. They can land choppers in places were the eagles would have trouble landing. Whether scooping up water from a river using a bucket or doing "ReTard Drops', these guys worked almost as hard as we did.
A big thank you goes to the pilots that plucked us out of those hot zones. And our hearts go out to those families of the firefighters that didn't make it home.
