Whew!! That was a toughie! Using ribbon in eccessive amounts! (thank god I hoard it..it was totally great to finally use the stash...lol) When I started this, I wasn't really liking where it was headed at first, but I love the result - messy, crazy, a little vintage, silly. (sigh) Thank you for the awesome challenge, ladies!

So what crazy stuff did I do with the ribbon, you ask? Wellll...I mod podged it onto chipboard pieces (the hearts) to act as a makeshift patterned-paper...gave them a lot of texture, too...! I wrapped a spool of ribbon around the large chipboard circle...I cut it up into pieces and covered a chipboard circle, thus transforming it into a silly monster (he has a mod-podged ribbon nose, too)...I bunched up the vintage trim into a circle, stitched some ribbon into pleats...and whew! that's more ribbon than I've ever used, ever! There some walnut ink and paint, and the picture is of me when I was 2-ish, in 1987, with one of my grandma's sisters. Journalling says: "I was so scared of monsters - under the bed, in the closet, everywhere!...but it's okay now - Monsters, Inc. explained it all."
So silly...I truly was petrified of monsters for years....and it's funny cuz I love monsters, Inc. now and I mostly draw monsters if I'm drawing anything....lol...
