Gorgeous! I love the blending of the pic and pp. I'm with you - why celebrate the day only once a year! We should be remembering this on a daily basis.
Oh my goodness Amanda, this is beautiful. THe journaling made me teary eyed. I just don't think anyone can write as beautifully as you! I guess we were on a similar page today.... but this is waaaay better than mine!! Into my faves for sure!
Another awesome page. I love how the pic blends in with the PP. I'm just going to have to get out the tissues every time I see you've posted a new LO. JK.
Incredible, Amanda!! I absolutely love how the photo blending looks and I'll be lift-lifting that idea from you, too!! Such sincere, tender journaling is always so touching!! Into my favs with this one!
Your descriptions are always the best to read! This lo is out of this world!! That photo blending is amazing and your journaling (as always) is so touching!! And you are right, we shouldn't need a holiday to be thankful!! Into faves!!!
ok.. so i couldn't WAIT to play with this kit!! this layout has been in my mind for days!! i'm so glad i finally got to do it! the picture blended into the paper was TOTALLY inspired by one of "txmom2two"'s recent layouts. (find it here: http://www.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=21855) i just fell in love with the way that photo looked. anyway... so when Sue and I did this kit... she busted out with this paper. as soon as i saw it... i had the layout done. so... that's my story. hehehe and yes... it's yet another picture of alyssa in this afternoon sunlight taken a couple of weeks ago. i only have a couple more that i won't be able to resist scrapping... hope no one's going "oh my gosh... move on already!" ha!!!! anyway... i thought at first i needed to wait until i had some "thanksgiving" pictures to use the word art... but then i thought "WHY??? Do i really need a holiday to be thankful??" hmmm... i think not... hence... the journaling. ;)
JOURNALING: As shallow and self-centered as this may sound, the actual events in which this holiday originated from... it doesn’t really resonate much with me. But the concept behind it... the actual “definition” of that phrase, that means the world. It just goes without saying what I have to be thankful for. You and Gage... your dad... our home and the life that is celebrated here. We are truly blessed. And it is moments like this... watching you walk across the street... in God’s shining light... wow... it’s as if I’ve lived my entire life for this very moment. Who needs a holiday when I have you? Who needs a holiday when I have this beautiful family, when I have this heart that God pursues on a daily basis and fills with all the love that I can stand. May I never “wait” for some holiday to lift thanks and praise to God for all that I have.
