Journaling Mom and Jake were the first to arrive at Lonestar Farms that morning, which gave them the pick of the pumpkin patch. However, Mom didn’t expect it to be as cold as it was, which made for a little boy with cold little hands. Luckily Mom had a pair of socks in the car that could double for mitts. After that little miscalculation, Jake and Mom had a great time running through the patch and looking for the perfect pumpkin. - October 2006 COOL TECHNIQUE ALERT! - How to get white writing on already dark cardstock or patterned paper There is an alternative to the old reverse the color and print in white trick that most scrappers use to get white writing on a dark background. What I have done for this page is I printed my journaling on a dark piece of cardstock in black. Use a generic font like Arial, Avant Garde Bk BT or Century Gothic (all Microsoft Word fonts). I then took a white or pale gel marker and printed over the journaling. It toook a bit extra time but I managed to achieve the effect of perfectly centered "almost my own" writing. I also managed to save a white piece of cardstock and a lot of printer ink!
