Our birds used to do that on occasion even though their wings were trimmed/clipped... not sure why they do that!

He is such a wonderful color. His wings are accustomed to being used outside so he probably is just stretching them.

Crazy bird - He's not actually flying. He's got both feel on the wire behind him, and he's just sitting there, flapping his wings. I think he's complaining that the cage is too small.
