Louise (nee Born) Arendt was born October 23, 1923 in the Caucasus region of Russia. She came to Canada in 1925 with her parents and settled in Provost, Alberta. The family moved to Glenbush in 1932. She accepted Christ as her Savior in her teens, was baptized and given membership in the Mennonite Brethren Church. She married Martin Arendt in 1944. Farming was hard so they moved to North Battleford where she helped support and raise a family of eleven children. She took in twenty welfare children, each until they were adopted or returned to their families. Her own children all accepted the Lord. Louise passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on October 29, 2004 after a short bout with cancer.

She leaves to mourn her husband, Martin; ten children and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren a total of 84...

She was a princess in prayer for others and will be missed by all who knew her.
