This is actually a portion of a song called, "My Prayer," which was made popular by a group called the Platters back in the 1950s. This song was my parents' song and I thought that since today (Nov 3rd) would have been their 51st wedding anniversary, it was an appropriate choice for my entry. My folks were married 37 yrs and three months until my mother passed away at the age of 55. My Dad passed away this August - today is the first anniversary they've spent together in 14 years. I'm rejoicing! Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

Here is the song in its entirety:

When the twilight is gone and no songbirds are singing
When the twilight is gone you come into my heart
And here in my heart you will stay while I pray

My prayer is to linger with you
At the end of the day in a dream that’s divine
My prayer is a rapture in blue
With the world far away and your lips close to mine

Tonight while our hearts are aglow
Oh tell me the words that I’m longing to know

My prayer and the answer you give
May they still be the same for as long as we live
That you’ll always be there at the end of my prayer.

*Sunset photo was taken this evening (Nov 3rd) from the St Andrews' parking lot.
