SHCG: I love the color combination. VERY NICE! The yarn on the bottom of the LO is so dimensional and adds a lot of interest to the page. The sectioned off areas are pleasing. Hmm... I sense I might scrap lift that really soon. I like how you flipped the design of the LO for both pages. GREAT JOB!
SHCG: I can't get over how ASLB worked out for you. I can't believe I would be able to make it happen as successfully as you did. I can't believe that waterwall, either. Did you color in those brown blocks yourself? When you made these pages, did you have these photos in mind? How great it is that your parents held hands and your DH got to see your old neighborhood. A tiny suggestion would be to add some kind of copper eyelet or embelly in the bottom right corner of the page above the fiber just to punctuate the end of this two-page spread.
SHCG - Again, same comments as the left side. The only thing I wanted to add was that I like that you crossed the two brown strips on the top of this page while crossing them on the bottom of the left page.
SHCG-I like the blocks and the pps that you used! Love the handwritten journaling! One suggestion here-turn the journaling that is on the photos vertically. The title is great , so are the photos!
SHCG- Love the paneled paper here. Those colors go together great. Love the little fiber strip at the bottom. The journaling on your pages is always wonderful and tells a fab story! Love the balance of this page as well. I love this idea of just putting the photos is when you get them.
From a series of LOs re: our family gathering in TX for Thanksgiving ’04 holidays. This LO is about various things we did in Houston after our 2 day jaunt to Galveston (& chronologically goes after my “In My Life” LO). At a Club Scrap Rolling Retreat this summer, we “Assembly Line Scrapbooked” (ALSB) a bunch of LOs, a method of scrapping without photos, the point of which is to utilize kits & scrap a lot quickly. I thought it was great in theory (esp for a chronological scrapper like me w/ tons I wanna scrap) but had my doubts. BUT once I found photos that fit, I was really excited! I wouldn’t switch to fulltime ALSB’ing, as it takes away the artistry of starting w/ your photos, & I don’t consider these my most innovative pages, but on occasion it’s fun to get pages done so quickly!
As some of you know, my cute parents are very private & prefer to be blurred online!
To wrap up the trip, I had tons of journaling & only wanted to highlight certain photos. I feel like I probably could’ve used the spaces on these LOs better but I’m pretty satisfied w/ this though I know it’s not my best.
