I knew it!! As soon as I posted my comment about the hangers in the closet - I realized what I'd done! hee hee - this is too cool! :) We don't need Wellies around here... not enough rain!
I knew you would post a picture of boots and shine and you did not let any of us down. You go girl. That is so interesting. There are so many types of boots, tall, short, high heel, no heel, the list is endless.
As requested by 3jmom... boots!! Or wellies, I didn't have that many at home so I found these in a shop. You may not think this is very interesting but they have a fine history, originally designed by 1st Duke of Wellington in the early 19th century. they were produced in rubber by Charles Goodyear of tyre making fame and became a great hit. there is a popular sport in UK called 'Welly Wanging' which involves throwing the wellies as far possible. In Africa a 'welly boot dance' was created by the miners to keep their spirits up. One of Billy Connolly's best known song is the 'Welly Boot song'!
It seems that wellies are popular in Canada often worn by young people and in the US, correct me if my research is wrong, they are often made with yellow soles.
Now you thought that was a boring picture didn't you????
